English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Bahz, from Shu'ba, from 'Uqba — that he said: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The night prayer is two rak'as at a time. If you fear [the break of] Fajr, make Witr with one rak'a."' [The narrator] said: I asked: 'What does "two at a time" mean?' He said: 'Two rak'as, two rak'as.'
