English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Muhammad ibn Ja'far, from Shu'ba, from 'Abdullah ibn Dinar — from the Prophet ﷺ — that he said: 'When a man calls another man "O kafir [disbeliever]," one of the two bears [the label]: if it is as he said [the other truly is a kafir], then [it applies]; otherwise it returns upon the one who said it.'
