Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ حَيَّانَ يَعْنِي الْبَارِقِيَّ
قَالَ قِيلَ لِابْنِ عُمَرَ إِنَّ إِمَامَنَا يُطِيلُ الصَّلَاةَ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ رَكْعَتَانِ مِنْ صَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَخَفُّ أَوْ مِثْلُ رَكْعَةٍ مِنْ صَلَاةِ هَذَا

English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from Hayyan, meaning al-Bariqi, who said: It was said to Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما): 'Our imam prolongs the prayer.' Ibn 'Umar said: 'Two rak'ahs of the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ were moderate [neither too long nor too short].' He said: 'He ﷺ used to recite in the last two rak'ahs of Dhuhr as in the first two of 'Asr.'
