English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, and Hajjaj said Shu'bah narrated to me, from Simak al-Hanafi who said: I heard Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) saying that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever manumits his share of a slave, it becomes obligatory upon him to free the rest, if he has enough wealth to cover the price. The slave is assessed at a fair value, and the co-owners are given their shares, and the slave is freed.'
