حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ قَالَ وَجَدْتُ فِي كِتَابِ أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ حَد

َّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَثَلُ الْمُنَافِقِ كَمَثَلِ الشَّاةِ الْعَائِرَةِ بَيْنَ الْغَنَمَيْنِ تَعِيرُ إِلَى هَذِهِ مَرَّةً وَإِلَى هَذِهِ مَرَّةً لَا تَدْرِي أَهَذِهِ تَتْبَعُ أَمْ هَذِهِ

English Translation

'Abdullah said: I found in my father's book: Ishaq ibn Yusuf narrated to us, 'Ubayd Allah narrated to us, from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Each of you is a shepherd and each of you is responsible for his flock. The imam who is in authority over the people is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock. A man is a shepherd over his family and is responsible for them. A woman is a shepherd in her husband's household and is responsible for her flock. A servant is a shepherd over his master's wealth and is responsible for it. Each of you is a shepherd and each of you is responsible for his flock.'
