Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ وَحَجَّاجٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ
وَبِشْرِ بْنِ الْمُحْتَفِزِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي الْحَرِيرِ إِنَّمَا يَلْبَسُهُ مَنْ لَا خَلَاقَ لَهُ

English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, and Hajjaj said Shu'bah narrated to me, I heard Qatadah narrating from Bakr ibn 'Abdullah and Bishr ibn al-Muhtafiz, from 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When two Muslims face each other with their swords, both the killer and the killed are in the Fire.' It was said: 'O Messenger of Allah, this is for the killer, but what about the killed?' He said: 'He was eager to kill his companion.'
