English Translation

'Abd al-Malik ibn 'Amr narrated to us, Nafi' ibn Abi Nu'aym narrated to us, from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما), from the Prophet ﷺ who said: 'Indeed, Allah the Most High has placed the truth upon the tongue and heart of 'Umar.' Ibn 'Umar said: 'Whenever the people differed on a matter and 'Umar differed on it, the Quran would come down in accordance with what 'Umar had said.'
