حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ

عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِذَا اشْتَرَيْتَ الذَّهَبَ بِالْفِضَّةِ أَوْ أَحَدَهُمَا بِالْآخَرِ فَلَا يُفَارِقْكَ وَبَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَهُ لَبْسٌ

English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Waki', from Isra'il, from Simak ibn Harb, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr — that he said: 'I heard the Prophet ﷺ say: "When you exchange gold for silver — or one of them for the other — do not part ways [end the transaction] while any ambiguity remains between you."'
