English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Waki', from Hammad, from Bishr ibn Harb — that he said: 'I heard Ibn 'Umar say: "This raising of your hands [in prayer beyond what is prescribed] is an innovation. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ never raised his hands beyond this" — meaning [no higher than] his chest.'
