English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Abd al-Rahman, from Sufyan, from 'Alqama, from Razin al-Ahmari — that the Prophet ﷺ was asked about a man who divorced his wife three times, then another man married her, closed the door, drew the curtain, and removed her headcover, then divorced her before consummating the marriage — does she become lawful to her first husband? He said: 'No — not until he tastes her honey [i.e., until the second marriage is consummated].' — [Second chain:] via Abu Ahmad, from Sufyan, from 'Alqama ibn Marthad, from Sulayman ibn Razin, from Ibn 'Umar — a man asked the Prophet ﷺ while he was on the pulpit delivering a sermon about a man who separated from his wife with three [divorces] — and he mentioned its meaning.
