English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Abd al-Rahman, from Sufyan and Shu'ba, from 'Abdullah ibn Dinar — that he said: 'When we pledged allegiance to the Prophet ﷺ for hearing and obeying, he would prompt us [to add the words]: "to the best of my ability."'
