English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Ibn Numayr, from 'Ubayd Allah, from Nafi' — that he said: 'Al-'Abbas ibn 'Abd al-Muttalib sought permission from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to spend the nights of Mina in Mecca on account of [his duty to oversee] the water supply [al-siqaya for the pilgrims], and he gave him permission.'
