حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنِ الْعُمَرِيِّ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ

سَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ الْوِصَالِ فِي الصِّيَامِ فَقِيلَ لَهُ إِنَّكَ تَفْعَلُهُ فَقَالَ إِنِّي لَسْتُ كَأَحَدِكُمْ إِنِّي أَظَلُّ يُطْعِمُنِي رَبِّي وَيَسْقِينِي

English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Waki', from al-'Umari, from Nafi' — that the Prophet ﷺ forbade wisal [continuous fasting without breaking]. It was said to him: But you yourself do it. He said: 'I am not like any of you — I remain throughout [the day] being fed and given drink by my Lord.'
