English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Waki', from Hammad ibn Salama, from 'Asim ibn al-Mundhir, from 'Ubayd Allah ibn 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar — that his father said: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When water reaches the measure of two qullas [large vessels] — or three — nothing will render it impure."' Waki' said: By al-qulla he means al-jarra [a large earthen jar].
