English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Abu Salama, from Layth, from Nafi' — that the Prophet ﷺ saw mucus on the qibla wall of the mosque while leading the people in prayer. He scraped it off, then said when he turned from the prayer: 'When one of you is in prayer, Allah (عز وجل) is before his face — so let no one spit in front of his face during the prayer.'
