English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Affan, from Shu'ba, from 'Uqba ibn Hurayth — that he said: 'I heard Ibn 'Umar say: "the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade [nabidh in] al-jarr [earthenware jars], al-dubba' [dried gourd vessels], and al-muzaffat [pitch-lined vessels], and commanded that nabidh be prepared in [leather] waterskins."'
