Hadith #151
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِد
ٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَا مِنْ أَيَّامٍ أَعْظَمُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَلَا أَحَبُّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ الْعَمَلِ فِيهِنَّ مِنْ هَذِهِ الْأَيَّامِ الْعَشْرِ فَأَكْثِرُوا فِيهِنَّ مِنْ التَّهْلِيلِ وَالتَّكْبِيرِ وَالتَّحْمِيدِ

English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Affan, from Abu 'Awana, from Yazid ibn Abi Ziyad, from Mujahid — from the Prophet ﷺ — that he said: 'There are no days greater before Allah and no deeds more beloved to Him than deeds performed in these ten days [of Dhul Hijja] — so increase in them your tahlil [la ilaha illa Allah], takbir [Allahu Akbar], and tahmid [al-hamdu lillah].'
