Hadith #211
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَ
ةُ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ قَالَ شَهِدْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ بِجَمْعٍ فَأَقَامَ الصَّلَاةَ فَصَلَّى الْمَغْرِبَ ثَلَاثًا وَسَلَّمَ وَصَلَّى الْعَتَمَةَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَحَدَّثَ سَعِيدٌ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ صَلَّاهَا فِي هَذَا الْمَكَانِ فَصَنَعَ مِثْلَ ذَا وَحَدَّثَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَنَعَ مِثْلَ هَذَا فِي هَذَا الْمَكَانِ

English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Muhammad [ibn Ja'far], from Shu'ba, from Salama ibn Kuhayl — that he said: 'I witnessed Sa'id ibn Jubayr at Jam' [Muzdalifa]. He called the iqama and prayed Maghrib — three rak'as — then made taslim and prayed 'Isha [al-'atama] — two rak'as. Sa'id related that 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar had prayed in this very place and done the same. And Ibn 'Umar related that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had done the same in this very place.'
