‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏سُفْيَانُ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَيُّوبَ السَّخْتِيَانِيِّ ‏ ‏وَأَيُّوبَ بْنِ مُوسَى ‏ ‏وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏نَافِعٍ ‏ ‏عَنِ ‏ ‏ابْنِ عُمَرَ ‏ ‏أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏قَطَعَ فِي ‏ ‏مِجَنٍّ ‏ ‏ثَمَنُهُ ثَلَاثَةُ دَرَاهِمَ ‏

English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Abd al-Razzaq, from Sufyan, from Ayyub al-Sakhtiyani and Ayyub ibn Musa and Isma'il ibn Umayya, from Nafi' — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ cut off [a thief's hand] for [stealing] a shield [mijan] worth three dirhams.
