English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Muhammad, from Shu'ba, from Abu Bishr — that he heard 'Abdullah ibn Shaqiq narrate from Ibn 'Umar that a man asked the Prophet ﷺ about Witr. He said: 'I and that man walked [alongside the Prophet ﷺ].' the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The night prayer is two by two, and Witr is one rak'a.' Shu'ba said: 'He did not say: "at the end of the night."'
