Hadith #241
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ أَنَّهُ شَهِدَ سَعِيدَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ أَقَامَ بِجَمْعٍ قَالَ وَأَحْسِبُهُ وَأَذَّنَ فَصَلَّى الْمَغْرِبَ ثَلَاثًا
ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ فَصَلَّى الْعِشَاءَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ قَالَ صَنَعَ بِنَا ابْنُ عُمَرَ فِي هَذَا الْمَكَانِ مِثْلَ هَذَا وَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ صَنَعَ بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي هَذَا الْمَكَانِ مِثْلَ هَذَا
Isnad Chain
English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Muhammad, from Shu'ba, from al-Hakam — that he witnessed Sa'id ibn Jubayr at Jam' [Muzdalifa], where [Sa'id] called the iqama — and he (the narrator) thinks he also called the adhan — then prayed Maghrib three rak'as, made taslim, and prayed 'Isha two rak'as. He then said: 'Ibn 'Umar did the same with us in this place.' And Ibn 'Umar said: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did the same with us in this very place.'
