English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Wahb ibn Jarir, from his father — who heard Yunus, from al-Zuhri, from Hamza ibn 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar, from his father — that he said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "While I was sleeping, I was brought a cup of milk, and I drank from it until the milk began flowing from my fingernails. Then I passed the remainder to 'Umar ibn al-Khattab." They asked: "O Messenger of Allah, what is your interpretation of it?" He said: "Knowledge."'
