حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَذِنَ لِلْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ اسْتَأْذَنَ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَبِيتَ بِمَكَّةَ لَيَالِيَ مِنًى مِنْ أَجْلِ سِقَايَتِهِ فَأَذِنَ لَهُ
English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Muhammad ibn Bakr, from Ibn Jurayj, from 'Ubayd Allah ibn 'Umar, from Nafi' — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave permission to al-'Abbas ibn 'Abd al-Muttalib — who had sought the Prophet ﷺ's (ﷺ) permission — to spend the nights of Mina in Mecca on account of his [duty of] siqaya [providing water to pilgrims]. He granted him the permission.
