Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ كَسَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قُبْطِيَّةً وَكَسَا أُسَامَةَ حُلَّةً
سِيَرَاءَ قَالَ فَنَظَرَ فَرَآنِي قَدْ أَسْبَلْتُ فَجَاءَ فَأَخَذَ بِمَنْكِبِي وَقَالَ يَا ابْنَ عُمَرَ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ مَسَّ الْأَرْضَ مِنْ الثِّيَابِ فَفِي النَّارِ قَالَ فَرَأَيْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَتَّزِرُ إِلَى نِصْفِ السَّاقِ

English Translation
Abdullah ibn al-Walid narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn 'Aqil: 'I heard Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) say: "the Messenger of Allah ﷺ clothed me with a Coptic garment, and when he saw it trailing on me, he said: 'O Ibn 'Umar, shorten your garment, for Allah does not love the ones who drag their garments.'"'
