ِي ابْنَ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَخَلَّى عَلَى لَبِنَتَيْنِ مُسْتَقْبِلَ الْقِبْلَةِ

English Translation

Husayn narrated to us, Ayyub — meaning Ibn 'Utbah — narrated to us, from Yahya — meaning Ibn Abi Kathir — from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) who said: 'I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ using the siwak [tooth stick] while fasting, and there is nothing wrong with that.'
