Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو مَطَرٍ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَال
َ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا سَمِعَ الرَّعْدَ وَالصَّوَاعِقَ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ لَا تَقْتُلْنَا بِغَضَبِكَ وَلَا تُهْلِكْنَا بِعَذَابِكَ وَعَافِنَا قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ

English Translation
'Affan narrated to us, Abd al-Wahid ibn Ziyad narrated to us, al-Hajjaj narrated to us, Abu Matar narrated to me, from Salim, from his father (Ibn 'Umar رضي الله عنهما) who said: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when he was pleased with something, his face would become radiant until it was as if it were a piece of the moon.'
