حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ طَاوُسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ

سَمِعَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ فِي أَوَّلِ أَمْرِهِ إِنَّهَا لَا تَنْفِرُ قَالَ ثُمَّ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يَقُولُ رَخَّصَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَهُنَّ

English Translation

'Affan narrated to us, Wuhayb narrated to us, Abdullah ibn Tawus narrated to us, from his father, that he heard Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) saying at first: 'It [the menstruating woman] does not depart [from Makkah].' He [Tawus] said: 'Then I heard Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) say: "She departs." Then I heard Ibn 'Umar say: "the Prophet ﷺ permitted them [menstruating women] to depart [after Hajj without farewell tawaf]."'
