ْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ كُنَّا إِذَا بَايَعْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى السَّمْعِ وَالطَّاعَةِ يُلَقِّنُنَا هُوَ فِيمَا اسْتَطَعْتَ

English Translation

'Affan narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from Abdullah ibn Dinar who said: 'I heard Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) say: "When we would pledge allegiance to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ upon hearing and obeying, he would say to us: 'In what you are able.'"'
