حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْهَاشِمِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْجُمَحِيُّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَرَضَ زَكَاةَ الْفِطْرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ عَلَى كُلِّ حُرٍّ أَوْ عَبْدٍ ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنْثَى مِنْ الْمُسْلِمِينَ
English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Sulayman ibn Dawud al-Hashimi, from Sa'id ibn 'Abd al-Rahman al-Jumahi, from 'Ubayd Allah ibn 'Umar, from Nafi' — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prescribed Zakat al-Fitr at the end of Ramadan as one sa' of dates or one sa' of barley — for every free or slave person, male or female, among the Muslims.
