حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ

عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّمَا مَثَلُ الْمُنَافِقِ مَثَلُ الشَّاةِ الْعَائِرَةِ بَيْنَ الْغَنَمَيْنِ تَعِيرُ إِلَى هَذِهِ مَرَّةً وَإِلَى هَذِهِ مَرَّةً لَا تَدْرِي أَيَّهُمَا تَتْبَعُ

English Translation

Muhammad ibn 'Ubayd narrated to us, 'Ubaydullah narrated to us, from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما), that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The parable of the hypocrite is like a sheep wandering between two flocks, going to this one sometimes and to that one other times.'
