حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ رَسُولَ ال
لَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ عَنْ صَلَاةِ اللَّيْلِ قَالَ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى فَإِذَا خَشِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يُصْبِحَ صَلَّى وَاحِدَةً فَأَوْتَرَتْ لَهُ مَا صَلَّى

English Translation
Muhammad ibn 'Ubayd narrated to us, 'Ubaydullah narrated to us, from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) who said: 'A man asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was on the minbar about the night prayer. He said: "Two by two. And when one of you fears that dawn is approaching, let him pray one rak'ah as witr for what he has prayed."'
