حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ وَاقِدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ كَذَا قَالَ عَفَّانُ وَإِنَّمَا هُوَ وَاقِدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْ
نِ عُمَرَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَا تَرْجِعُوا بَعْدِي كُفَّارًا يَضْرِبُ بَعْضُكُمْ رِقَابَ بَعْضٍ

English Translation
'Affan narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from Waqid ibn Abdullah — this is what 'Affan said, but it is actually Waqid ibn Muhammad ibn Zayd ibn Abdullah ibn 'Umar — from his father, that he heard Abdullah ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) say: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Leave them [the Ethiopians who were performing their display], so that the Abyssinians can feel safe' — meaning their playing [with spears in the mosque].
