English Translation

Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from Waqid ibn Muhammad ibn Zayd, that he heard his father narrating from Abdullah ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما), from the Prophet ﷺ, that he said: 'Be a stranger in this world as if you are a traveler.' And Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) used to say: 'When evening comes, do not expect to see the morning. And when morning comes, do not expect to see the evening. Take from your health for your sickness, and from your life for your death.'
