English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Attab ibn Ziyad, from 'Abdullah ibn al-Mubarak, from Musa ibn 'Uqba, from Salim and Nafi' — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when returning from an expedition, Hajj, or 'umra, would begin by saying "Allahu Akbar" three times, then say: 'There is no god but Allah, alone with no partner — to Him belongs sovereignty and all praise, and He is over all things capable. We are returning, repenting, worshipping, prostrating, praising our Lord. Allah has fulfilled His promise, granted victory to His servant, and routed the confederates alone.' — [A second chain via 'Ali ibn Ishaq, from 'Abdullah [ibn al-Mubarak], from Musa ibn 'Uqba — the same.]
