English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Attab, from 'Abdullah [ibn Mubarak], from Musa ibn 'Uqba, from Nafi' — that he said: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The upper hand is better than the lower hand. The upper hand is the giving hand, and the lower hand is the asking [begging] hand."'
