حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ الن
َّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا حَلَفَ الرَّجُلُ فَقَالَ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ فَهُوَ بِالْخِيَارِ إِنْ شَاءَ فَلْيَمْضِ وَإِنْ شَاءَ فَلْيَتْرُكْ حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ وَعَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ

English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Affan, from Wuhayb, from Ayyub, from Nafi' — from the Prophet ﷺ — that he said: 'When a man makes a vow and says "In sha' Allah," he has a choice — if he wishes he may fulfill it, and if he wishes he may leave it.' — [Second chain:] via 'Affan, from Hammad ibn Salama and 'Abd al-Warith, from Ayyub, from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar, from the Prophet ﷺ — the same meaning.
