English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Affan, from Wuhayb, from Ayyub, from Nafi' — from the Prophet ﷺ: 'When a man takes an oath and says "if Allah wills" [in sha' Allah], he has the option: if he wishes he may proceed, and if he wishes he may leave it.' — [A second chain via 'Affan, from Hammad ibn Salama and 'Abd al-Warith, from Ayyub, from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar, from the Prophet ﷺ — the same.]
