English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Bishr ibn Shu'ayb ibn Abi Hamza, from his father, from al-Zuhri, from Salim — that he said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ standing on the pulpit saying: "Kill snakes, and kill the one with two stripes [dhu al-tufyatayn] and the one with a stub tail [al-abtar] — for they cause blindness and bring about miscarriage."'
