English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Abu al-Yaman, from Shu'ayb, from al-Zuhri, from Salim ibn 'Abdullah — that he said: 'I heard 'Umar say: "Whoever has braided [his hair], let him shave it — and do not imitate those who plaster their hair [with gum or resin]." And Ibn 'Umar used to say: "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with plastered hair [mulabbidan]."'
