English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Abu al-Yaman, from Shu'ayb, from al-Zuhri, from Salim ibn 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar and Abu Bakr ibn Abi Hathma — that 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar said: 'the Prophet ﷺ prayed the 'Isha' prayer near the end of his life. When he rose, he said: "Take note of this night of yours — for at the head of one hundred years from it, none of those who are alive on the face of the earth today will remain." 'Abdullah said: People went astray regarding the Prophet ﷺ's (ﷺ) words about one hundred years and applied it to what they narrate about hadiths of one hundred years. But the Prophet ﷺ only said: "None of those who are alive on the face of the earth today will remain" — meaning that that generation would pass away.'
