English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Surayj ibn al-Nu'man, from Fulayh, from Nafi' — that one night the Messenger of Allah ﷺ delayed the 'Isha' prayer until we slept, then we woke up, then we slept, then we woke up again. He had kept us waiting on account of a delegation that came to him. Then he came out and said: 'There is no one waiting for this prayer other than you.'
