دِّيقِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ هَمَّامٌ فِي كِتَابِي قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا وَضَعْتُمْ مَوْتَاكُمْ فِي الْقُبُورِ فَقُولُوا بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَعَلَى سُنَّةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Affan, from Hammam, from Qatada, from Abu al-Siddiq — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When you place your dead in the graves, say: "In the name of Allah and according to the sunnah of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."' — Hammam said: 'In my written copy [this is the wording].'
