English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Abd al-Wahhab ibn 'Ata', from Malik ibn Anas, from Nafi' — that the Prophet ﷺ forbade al-wisal [continuous fasting without breaking at sunset]. He was told: 'But you practice al-wisal, O Messenger of Allah.' He said: 'I am not in the same condition as you — I am fed and given drink [by Allah].'
