English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Ubayda ibn Humayd, from 'Ubayd Allah ibn 'Umar, from Nafi' — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray with a camel placed crosswise between him and the qibla as a sutrah. 'Ubayd Allah said: 'I asked Nafi': "When the camels were gone, what did Ibn 'Umar do?" He said: "He would place the back part of his camel-saddle [mu'akhkhirat al-rahl] crosswise between him and the qibla."'
