‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏الْمُطَّلِبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُطَّلِبِ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ ‏ ‏أَنَّ ‏ ‏عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ ‏ ‏كَانَ ‏ ‏يَتَوَضَّأُ ثَلَاثًا ثَلَاثًا وَيُسْنِدُ ذَلِكَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏

English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Abu al-Mughira, from al-Awza'i, from al-Muttalib ibn 'Abdullah ibn al-Muttalib al-Makhzumi — that 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar used to perform wudu three times for each [limb], and would attribute that to the Prophet ﷺ.
