حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ بَحْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ يَقُولُ قَدْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الْأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ
English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Ali ibn Bahr, from Hatim ibn Isma'il, from Musa ibn 'Uqba, from Nafi' — that 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar used to say: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform i'tikaf [seclusion in the mosque] during the last ten [nights] of Ramadan.'
