حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاق
َ حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ حَدَّثَهُمْ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَبْعَثُ عَلَيْهِمْ إِذَا ابْتَاعُوا مِنْ الرُّكْبَانِ الْأَطْعِمَةَ مَنْ يَمْنَعُهُمْ أَنْ يَتَبَايَعُوهَا حَتَّى يُؤْوُوا إِلَى رِحَالِهِمْ

English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Ya'qub, from his father, from Ibn Ishaq, from Nafi' — that he told them: 'When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw [people] buying food from the caravans [al-rukban], he used to send someone to prevent them from trading in it until they had returned to their lodgings [rihal, i.e., the market proper].'
