حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ يُصَلِّي فِي السَّفَرِ صَلَاتَهُ بِ
اللَّيْلِ وَيُوتِرُ رَاكِبًا عَلَى بَعِيرِهِ لَا يُبَالِي حَيْثُ وَجَّهَ بَعِيرُهُ وَيَذْكُرُ ذَلِكَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مُوسَى وَرَأَيْتُ سَالِمًا يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Sulayman ibn Dawud, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi al-Zinad, from Musa ibn 'Uqba, from Salim ibn 'Abdullah — that 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar used to perform his night prayers during travel while riding on his camel, and would make witr while riding, not caring in which direction his camel faced. He attributed that to the Prophet ﷺ. Musa said: 'And I saw Salim do the same.'
