حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ

عُمَرَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ نَعْلَيْنِ فَلْيَلْبَسْ خُفَّيْنِ وَلْيَشُقَّهُمَا أَوْ لِيَقْطَعْهُمَا أَسْفَلَ مِنْ الْكَعْبَيْنِ

English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Hajjaj, from Shu'ba, from 'Abdullah ibn Dinar — that he heard Ibn 'Umar narrate from the Prophet ﷺ: 'Whoever does not find sandals, let him wear leather socks [khuffayn] and cut them — or cut them lower than the ankles [in order to put them on while in ihram].'
