حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللّ
َهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ إِنْ حِيلَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ الْبَيْتِ فَعَلْنَا كَمَا فَعَلْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ حَالَتْ كُفَّارُ قُرَيْشٍ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْبَيْتِ فَحَلَقَ وَرَجَعَ وَإِنِّي أُشْهِدُكُمْ أَنِّي قَدْ أَوْجَبْتُ عُمْرَةً فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Ibn Numayr, from 'Ubayd Allah, from Nafi' — that he said: 'If I am prevented from reaching the House [Ka'ba], we will do what we did with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when the disbelievers of Quraysh prevented him from it — he shaved his head and returned.' He said: 'I call you to witness that I have made 'umra obligatory upon myself.' Then he proceeded [to narrate] the hadith.
